A Day at the Beach
| Location : |
PS 111 |
| Time: |
5:00-9:00 |
| Description: |
Beaches are very active places where the land meets the sea. Beaches are composed of any loose material available and small enough to be pushed onshore by waves and winds, and large enough not to be swept back out to sea. Come check out beach sands from around the world and learn why all beaches are different. Several microscopes are set up so you can look at different sands for yourself and see the incredible diversity and beauty of these small rocks and minerals. |
