A wolverine--gulo gulo--standing on a frozen body of water
I place a wolverine on my homepage to remind people that these animals still live, though in ever dwindling numbers. I have seen one at a lake high in a chain of western Montana mountains (a place I won't name). So I put the image of the wolverine here in order to plant the idea of the animal in your own imagination. I hope you will take a moment to study the picture and get this remarkable creature deep into your mental imagery. The more people who are aware of such biotic diversity, the better.
