Please join CR's instructional technologist, Reno Giovanneti, and faculty distance education coordinator, Lisa Sayles, for a two-part FLEX session on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 11:00 – 1:00 in HU 204. The first part of this session will focus on the principles of universal design (UD), and using UD principles to inform and guide accessibility efforts. This will include a look at how UD relates to diversity and inclusivity more generally. The second part of the session will provide an overview of accessibility as it relates to digital materials, and will include an applied, hands-on component where you will have an opportunity to work with digital materials and accessibility tools. Please bring digital materials (syllabi, hand outs, lessons, etc.), or plan to log in to your Canvas course to work on html pages, etc. during the session. It is recommend that participants attend both sessions, however, feel free to join in as your schedule allows.
