California commemorates this day each year to honor Native peoples in our state.
On Thursday, Sept. 21, the Multi-Cultural & Diviersity Center presents:
4:00-5:00pm - The first meeting of the new Native Student Club! Share stories, offer support, build community, & participate in service projects for local Tribal communities!
5:30-7:30pm - An eye-opening documentary, "Standing Rock, Part 1" on recent struggles to stop the installment of a pipeline through Native lands in North & South Dakota. Following the film, Professors Cintra Agee (CR) and Cynthia Boshell (HSU) will lead a discussion on current happenings in Native American communities in room HU 110.
