Join us as we acknowledge the collective journey of the past year:build stamina, gather tools, and network together.

WORKSHOP SERIES OPEN TO ALL!

The Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® Workshops introduce participants to six wellness skills. CRM Workshops help create “trauma-informed” and “resiliency-informed” individuals and communities that share a common understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system and how resiliency can be restored or increased using this skills-based approach.

Speakers:

CRYSTAL PEREZ is a Juvenile Diversion Counselor for the City of Arcata and the Arcata Police Department. Throughout her career, she has worked as an After School Program Coordinator, a Juvenile Corrections Officer, a Skills Coach for with at-risk youth, and a counselor for individuals with special needs. She received her master’s in Developmental Psychopathology from Humboldt State University. As a Juvenile Diversion counselor, Crystal works to support families and youth in many capacities including mentorship and parent coaching.

JENNIFER MAGER has her master’s degree in education and is endorsed through The California Center in Infant Family Early Childhood Mental Health. She is the ACEs and Resilience Program Coordinator at First 5 Humboldt and lectures in the Child Development Department at Humboldt State University. She is currently home schooling three children from TK through high school while working remotely at home, and has firsthand experience in utilizing the skills of the Community Resiliency Model.
