CR Police Academy graduation held Friday, Dec. 16th

College of the Redwoods held its 130th Basic Law Enforcement Academy graduation on Friday, December 16 in the CR Theater. Eleven cadets participated in this class ceremony, and all of the cadets have been hired by various law enforcement departments.

The next cadre of cadets will begin training on Monday, January 9th, 2023.  Anyone interested in attending a future Academy should go to the Basic Academy website at https://www.redwoods.edu/cte/aj/blea. Any additional questions can be answered by calling the Public Safety Training Center at 707-476-4334.

Present at the graduation were members of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Eureka Police Department, Fortuna Police Department, Crescent City Police Department, Yurok Tribal Police, CR Trustee Colleen Mullery, CR Trustee Carol Matthews, CR Trustee Sally Biggin, CR Trustee Lorraine Pedrotti and Basic Law Enforcement Academy Director Michael Perkins.
