CR Police Academy graduation to be held Thursday, June 13th

College of the Redwoods will hold its 123rd Basic Law Enforcement Academy graduation on Thursday, June 13th, at 1 p.m. in the CR Theater on the Eureka main campus.

           Twenty-one cadets will participate in this class ceremony. Of those graduating, five have been hired by various law enforcement departments and several others are in different stages of the selection processes, some with multiple agencies.

           The 123rd class started in January. “We are excited to see this new batch of cadets go out into the world and do wonderful things for their respective agencies and communities,” said CR Basic Law Enforcement Academy Coordinator Sandi Petersen. 

            The 124th CR Basic Law Enforcement Academy starts Monday, July 8th, 2019 and the roster is filling up quickly. Anyone interested in attending a future Academy should go to the Basic Academy website at http://www.redwoods.edu/departments/police1/police-academy/ and click on “Frequently Asked Questions.”  Any additional questions can be answered by calling the Training Center office at 707-476-4334.

Representing CR at the graduation will be President/Superintendent Dr. Keith Flamer; members of the Board of Trustees, Director Ron Waters, along with Academy Coordinator Sandi Petersen.
