CR Child Development Center presents ‘No Small Matter’ film screening

Published on 9/5/2019.

The College of the Redwoods Child Development Center will present a screening of the film ‘No Small Matter’ on Sept. 19 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

‘No Small Matter’ is the first feature documentary to explore the most overlooked, underestimated, and powerful force for good in America today: early childhood education. Through poignant stories and surprising humor, the film lays out the overwhelming evidence for the importance of the first five years, and reveals how our failure to act on that evidence has resulted in an everyday crisis for American families, and a slow-motion catastrophe for the country. Visit www.nosmallmatter.com or https://youtu.be/Shm-KRh4LFg to watch the trailer and learn more.

The event is free and open to the public, and will take place in the Performing Arts Theater on the CR Eureka main campus. Co-director of the film, Jon Siskel, will be present to discuss the film.

This event is sponsored by College of the Redwoods Child Development Center. For more information about CR’s Child Development Center, call 707-476-4337 or visit http://www.redwoods.edu/cdc/
