- WOMEN’S SOCCER –

The women’s soccer team got their first taste of regular season play and did not disappoint. They were victorious, defeating Napa Valley 5-0. Sophomore Amy Reyes performance was fantastic, scoring two goals and assisting on one. Reyes talks about her team’s performance and their upcoming opponent, Santa Rosa JC.

“Being our opening game we played really good, played really hard, and played to win. Santa Rosa is a tough team but I think we can stay in it as long as we work together and communicate.”

 

SEAN HANDL

- MEN’S SOCCER –

Men’s soccer had their first two games on the road and showed they are ready to compete this year. Redwoods dropped the first game 4-2 vs Mendocino, then rebounded in a 2-2 tie vs Chabot. Sophomore Sean Handl came to play, scoring one goal in the first contest and assisting on one goal in the second game, and coach praised him on his great defense in both games. Handl comments about how he plans to help to victories this season.

“Playing the hardest that I can and spread positivity to my team.”
