About Us

The mission of the College of the Redwoods Foundation is to support the Redwoods Community College District through establishing partnerships and collaborations that benefit CR’s students, local businesses, and the community.

COLLEGE OF THE REDWOODS FOUNDATION 501(c)(3).

The Foundation focuses on generating resources to promote student enrollment, student success, economic development, community health, and equitable opportunity.

The Impact of Your Giving

Your gift matters.

More than 180,000 students have attended College of the Redwoods since the college's opening in 1964.  Your gift to support CR students is an investment in the people and economies of Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity Counties.

If you are interested in donating to an existing scholarship fund, creating a new scholarship fund, funding an internship program, or collaborating with the Foundation to benefit our local communities, please contact:

Room & Board Scholarship

The Redwoods Room & Board Scholarship Fund supports CR students who are experiencing homelessness or who are housing insecure.  This scholarship provides semester grants so that these students can live in CR's residence halls and have a meal plan in the cafeteria.  The goal is to ensure these students have the opportunity to focus on their education rather than on their daily survival.

College of the Redwoods was the first college in the nation to provide on campus housing and meal plans for its students experiencing housing insecurity or homelessness.
