Notable Curriculum
The curriculum committee approved a new math course on Friday: MATH-10 Contemporary Mathematics for Technical Fields. This transfer-level math course is designed to teach students interested in skilled trades the mathematics they will use in their careers. With the implementation of AB 705, students will no longer be pushed to learn algebraic concepts that are not applicable to their chosen careers.
Lead author Jon Pace consulted with nearly 30 faculty in math and career education to develop the course.
