Partnership Resource Team Visit

Last month, the college was visited by a Partnership Resource Team (PRT) that is working with us to address effectively our college’s professional development needs and to bring faculty and staff together across disciplines to create stronger communities. The PRT, chaired by the President of Santa Rosa College, consisted of peers from Chabot, Sierra, Sacramento, and Grossmont College. They met with over 30 CR employees, including classified staff and faculty leadership. They told President Flamer and me that they were impressed with CR’s talent and commitment to the institution.

The PRT will visit again on November 20 to help us begin developing an action plan. The PRT can provide up to $200,000 to help CR carry out the plan.

Emergency Planning

Thanks to the 45 employees who have already completed the survey to provide input and pose questions about planning for future emergency events. Helpful themes are already emerging. Responses are being carefully reviewed to inform emergency preparedness plans.

Here are the survey links if you still want to provide input.

New Bookstore Update

CR’s Bookstore Manager, Ashley Mitchell, is working with IT, the Business Office, special programs, and marketing to implement the new online bookstore and get word out to students. Communications to students are being developed so that students are ready to purchase books when the bookstore opens on December 16.
