Advisors provide individualized support to current and prospective students. They are available via email and phone, and hold Information and Planning events to provide information and guidance about Adult Education and College of the Redwoods. Advisors can help students set goals and make plans to achieve those goals. They have extensive knowledge of Adult Education classes available to students, and work hard to ensure they are enrolled in appropriate classes to meet their goals.
Esmeralda Ramirez provides support to students enrolled in English as a Second Language classes and students enrolled in classes while in corrections and once released. Esmeralda has worked in Adult Education at College of the Redwoods since June 2016. She transferred to Adult Education from the Financial Aid Office at College of the Redwoods. Prior to coming to College of the Redwoods, she worked with Spanish speaking families enrolled in Early Head Start for three years. While attending Humboldt State University she worked in the Financial Aid Office for four years and the Admissions Office for one year. She loves spending time with her German Shepard and spoiling him rotten.
Joselle Wagner provides support to students who are studying for their High School Equivalency Certificate, and in career and college preparation classes. Joselle has worked in Adult Education at College of the Redwoods since the summer of 2016. Prior to coming to College of the Redwoods, she worked in Housing and Residence Life for over seven years at Humboldt State University and Randolph College building communities and coordinating leadership development and academic programming. She enjoys knitting and other crafts and spending time with her family.
