Every year the College of the Redwoods, Del Norte Campus, presents an end of the semester exhibition in the Spring and Fall to feature our student’s final artwork. In adjusting to the Covid-19 situation, we have organized our exhibition to be shared via a virtual gallery for the first time. Students from Art-2, Intro to Art, and Art-17, Basic Drawing, worked in various media consisting of drawing with graphite, ink, and charcoal as well as painting with pastels, acrylic, and watercolor. Participants chose their best artwork created during the semester to represent their final and be exhibited in the show. They were able to decide between art produced within an assigned structure including representational, abstract, and experimental projects or had the freedom to create their own project within the course outcome. As their instructor, I’m proud to present such an eclectic array of artwork that, I believe, shows my student’s knowledge, creativity, and imagination very well.
