We provide accessible instructional support services to help students develop their academic skills, become independent learners, and succeed in their college, career, and transfer goals.

Tutors/Writing Help

College of the Redwoods provides FREE in-person and online tutoring (via Zoom) to all students.

We currently offer tutoring on the following subjects:

  • English: writing/composition
  • Science: chemistry, physics, dendrology, soils, GIS
  • Mathpre-algebra, contemporary math, college algebra, trigonometry, calculus
  • Statistics
  • Spanish

Booking Procedure
Appointments are 1 hour long 

Students can make up to 3 appointments a week.

Students in Special Programs (EOPS, TRiO, CalWorks) have an exception.

Testing Center

Proctoring for CR classes

The ASC Testing Center will proctor your exam if you have your instructor's approval to take an exam outside of class.

Please make an appointment ahead of time due to limited testing space :)

Proctoring Services: non-CR classes

Services are available for community members who are taking classes at other colleges and for those who need certification testing for a fee of $20/hr.
