College of the Redwoods - Student Worker 1 - Disability Services & Programs for Students

Disability Services and Programs for Students (DSPS) is in search of Federal Work-Study employees. Applicants must qualify for Federal Work Student (FWS) through financial aid. The hourly rate until 12/31/21 is $14.00, increasing to $15.00 on 1/1/22. Students must be available between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. DSPS will work with a student's school schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities - may include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting students, staff, and public with disabilities at the front desk answering phones

• Database entry (Excel, Microsoft Word, Datatel)

• Making appointments (SARS)

• Filing

• Other general clerical assignments as assigned Desired qualifications:

Some background working with a diverse population of people, especially individuals with disabilities. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. Must be accurate, responsible, and dependable. All student workers must meet a minimum of 2.0-grade point average and be enrolled in a minimum of six units during the fall and spring semesters and three units during the summer session.
