Informational Meeting: November 20 or December 11 at 3:00pm - 5:00pm, located at 525 D St. Eureka
      This is a chance to fill out the application, meet the instructors and ask questions.

Class Dates: January 21 - April 13, 2020

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Fee: $2,995*

Payment Plan: All payment plans require a $20 enrollment fee and must be processed using a debit/credit card. $1,500 down and $500.00/month for three (3) months or $1,000 down and $665.00/month for three (3) months

College of the Redwoods Community Education offers training to become a Certified Medical Assistant. This not-for-credit class with lecture and in-class labs includes clinical rotation at a local medical office. Front and back Office Medical Assistant skills will be covered in an interactive classroom format. 

Medical Assisting course includes:

  • Venipuncture and Injection Certification
  • Medical Terminology
  • Front and Back Office Procedures
  • Clinical Experience at a Local Healthcare Facility
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Perform Finger-stick Lab Tests and Urinalysis
  • Identify Principles of Pharmacology
  • Textbooks, 3 Uniforms & Stethoscope
  • Job Preparation Skills
  • National Medical Assisting Exam

*Although minimal, this class fee is subject to change.
