A career inventory is a questionnaire that can help you discover new career possibilities which are compatible with your interests, aptitudes, and employment needs. Use any Internet accessible computer -- at home, the library, or the Career Center - to take the following career inventories:
- Career or major finder: Career Cafe. Assess your interests and find careers and majors that match. Print a summary to take to your career counselor for further discussion.
- Motivational Appraisal of Personal Potential: www.assessment.com/
Assess the strength of your motivations, and what makes you want to work.
- Keirsey Termperament & Character Web Site: www.keirsey.com/
Determine your temperament type and how it will affect your career satisfaction.
- Riso-Hudson Enneagram Type Indicator and The New Enneagram Test:www.9types.com/
Again, not specifically a career test, but suggests a basic personality orientation for each of us, which can be viewed in relation to career possibilities. You may explore careers which seem compatible with your basic "enneagram" type.
Remember: The best way to use your results to a career inventory is to follow-up by gathering information about occupations. Use any one of the "Occupational Exploration" links on this page to explore careers compatible with your results.
