About Us

Our 2-year Registered Nursing Program prepares nurses to assume responsibility for directing the nursing care of patients with acute and chronic illness. It also provides theory and practice for the student to develop the ability to perform preventative, therapeutic and rehabilitative intervention techniques. In addition to treatments and procedures (including medications and intravenous therapy), the program emphasizes patient education, psychosocial and cultural aspects, and bioethics.

Upon completion, a student is awarded an Associate in Science Degree and is eligible to take the National Council Licensing Exam for Registered Nursing (NCLEX-RN).

ATTENTION Pre-Nursing RN Students!

The next TEAS Test will be
July 22nd, 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
in AT 115.

Pre-Nursing students going into the RN program* at College of the Redwoods are required to take a Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) before they apply for the nursing program. A math review course is typically offered each Fall and Spring semester to help with reviewing math concepts that will specifically be seen on the TEAS test.

FREE Math Review Class to
prep for the TEAS TEST

The TEAS Math Prep course (Math 207) will be offered from 5/28/2024 - 7/18/2024.

*CR LVN and Career Mobility students do not need to take the TEAS Test as of right now - RN Students Only
