Residence Halls

COVID information for Residence Halls

Starting in the Fall 2021 semester, students who wish to reside in the residence halls are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or be subject to weekly COVID testing. The COVID testing will be available on campus at no cost to the student.

Students who choose to get vaccinated will need to provide the Housing Office vaccine verification (card) prior to move in (August 16 & 17 for Fall 2021 semester, January 17 & 18 for Spring 2022).

Students can go to MyTurn.ca.gov to learn more about eligibility, schedule an appointment, and receive updates about available appointments and locations. Public Health clinics are available for registration on My Turn starting the week April 5, 2021. Incoming students from outside of California for the Fall 2021 semester should research their state's process for receiving a vaccine.

For the most recent COVID-19 information, visit cdc.gov or cdph.ca.gov. Local information is available at humboldtgov.org or during business hours by contacting covidinfo@co.humboldt.ca.us or calling 707-441-5000.
Some Safeway, CVS Pharmacy, Rite Aid and Walgreen’s locations are offering COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

During the Summer and Fall 2021 semesters, there will be no guest permitted in the Residence Halls at any time. The only exception is on move-in days. Incoming residents can have a maximum of three (3) people with them to assist with move in. Any extra people will have to remain in the vehicle while the resident moves in. All incoming residents and people assisting with move-in will have their temperatures taken and be given a COVID screening questionnaire prior to being shown to their assigned space. The guest policy for Spring 2022 will be reviewed during the Fall 2021 semester.

Masks are to be worn on campus, including the Residence Halls, any time social distancing cannot occur.

If a resident develops COVID symptoms, please contact Public Safety at 707-476-4111 and remain in your assigned room. If a resident tests positive, they will be temporarily moved into a "quarantine quad" where they have a room and bathroom for themselves for the duration of their quarantine as set by County Health. College staff will provide instructions to any resident that tests positive on how to order food & supplies and who to contact while they are in quarantine on campus.
