College of the Redwoods welcomes new staff by onboarding within each classification.
Classified staff are provided an onboarding program which includes an orientation day with Human Resources, the CSEA representative, Payroll and much more.
Faculty are provided an onboarding program which includes an orientation day and continuous involvement through CONNECT an online environment unique to CR.
Associate Faculty's onboarding program includes a one-on-one visit with their Human Resources Representative to walk through all of the new hire paperwork as well as an orientation day during the semester to provide information about the college and expectations of working at CR.
Administrators, Directors and Managers onboarding program has been tailored to each new hire. Each new hire is issued a New Hire Buddy to be their buddy as they start their career at CR. Each new hire also goes through a one-on-one visit with their Human Resources Representative to walk through all of the new hire paperwork. The visit with the HR rep allows them time to be introduced to the CR benefit package, become familiar with CR's mission and vision, CR's campus, and much more. Lastly, each new hire is provided a checklist to use to ensure they have completed everything they need to as a new hire.
