CR's K-T Campus: A Model of Native-American Student Success

This panel discussion will feature: Michael Howe, Executive Director of the RP Group; Erika Chase, Director of Education for the Hoopa Valley Tribe; Alissa Leigh, Researcher with the Center of California Rural Policy; Jolene Gates, KTIS Manager; Melissa Ruiz, Associate Professor/Director of Student Services; Katie Sharp, Associate Professor of Native American Studies; and Scherane Kinney, Academic Advisor/Retention Specialist.
Panelists will discuss methods and practices that have resulted in high success rates among Klamath-Trinity’s predominantly Native-American students. They will also share research on why these practices are so successful and why it is imperative for CR to invest in the state-recognized model. Snacks will be provided!
