Coach White, who is now in her 25th season as head coach with College of the Redwoods, started the softball program from scratch back in 1997. She has since led the Corsairs to four Golden Valley Conference championships (1997, 2001, 2002, 2006), a Northern California Regional Championship (2006), and was named GVC coach of the year three times (1997, 2001 and 2006). Coach White (Vallee) graduted from Arcata High in 1988, where she was a standout athlete in three sports, including volleyball, basketball and softball. She was inducted into Arcata’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004. After high school, she followed her softball coach, Frank Cheek, to Humboldt State, where she played for four seasons from 1989-92 at third base, helping her team to three conference championships. In 1995, Coach White was the assistant coach at Humboldt State, where they earned third place in NCAA Division II softball championship
Coach White lives in Fieldbrook with her husband, Jason, who is the head football coach at College of the Redwoods, and their three children: Hayden, Rachel, and Jasmine.
