Assistant Coach – Teresa (Cheek) Stavert

Teresa Stavert begins her first season as the pitching coach at College of the Redwoods.  Stavert, an Arcata High graduate, was a stand-out athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball.  She played volleyball and softball at Sonoma State University and was a two-time NCAA West Region selection in softball before transferring to Humboldt State University.  At HSU, she earned All-Conference honors for two years and was named Pitcher of the Year for the NCAC in 1989.  HSU won two conference titles during her tenure with the Jacks.  Stavert is a member of the Arcata High School and Humboldt State Hall of Fame.  Teresa spent 25 years as a nurse in Livermore and recently retired from nursing and has been teaching and coaching at College of the Redwoods.  Coach Stavert and Coach White were teammates at Arcata High School and at Humboldt State University.
