MyCR Account Setup

Home for Outlook (Student Email), Canvas, Office 365 Apps

Please note: a mobile phone will be required to set up email access. Please make sure you are in an area with good Wifi coverage and good cell service, as you will need to configure your Multi-Factor Authentication either by text or by downloading the Microsoft Authenticator App.

To access the MyCR portal, please go to: https://myapps.microsoft.com/Redwoods.edu/

  1. Your sign in will be your regular student email address. For example ... flast123@mycr.redwoods.edu

  2. Use your temporary password.
    First Initial + Last Initial + 8 Digit Birth Date + Exclamation Mark
    For example:
    If your name is Bugs Bunny and you were born on July 1, 1993, then…
    Your Temporary Password would be: BB07011993! (Passwords are case-sensitive)

  3. Agree to Terms of Use.

  4. Setting your MFA (Multi Factor Authentication)
  5. Setting MFA with the Authenticator App (If you do not want to download the app then skip to step 6 to set up via text or email.)

  6. Using the Authenticator App scan the QR code with your phone and enter the code provided.

  7. You have multiple options for MFA. You can select "I want to set up a different method" to authenticate with a text or an email. We recommend you chose text if possible.

  8. Enter the code sent to your phone via text. You can also choose email, but do not use your student email address (you can't login yet, right?), so choose an email address that you have access to.

  9. Once logged in,  you will see your MyCR Apps list, including Canvas Outlook email, office 365 applications and other MyCR applications
