Here's a summary of the Special Board meeting today.

Approve Submittal of Initial and Final Project Proposal-Student Union Building.The Board approved the recommendation to prepare the Final Project Proposal (FPP) to replace the Student Union Building and take down the existing facility. A recommendation to authorize the District to submit the final FPP to the Board of Governors will be included in a future agenda.

Approve Accepting Southern Humboldt Community Healthcare District's Offer To Purchase the Garberville Instructional Site. The recommendation to accept the offer from the Southern Humboldt Community Healthcare District (SHCHD) to buy our Garberville site for a purchase price of $1,100,000 payable in full in cash at Closing, $50,000 to be deposited in Escrow, and SHCHD paying all closing costs was approved by the Board today.

Personnel Items. Approval was granted for Matthew Gilliland's appointment as the Veterans Affairs Specialist and Paul Chown's move from the Manager Information Systems and Applications to the Director of Institutional Research, Information Systems and Institutional Effectiveness position.

The next meeting of the Board of Trustees will be December 5.
