Homelessness and housing insecurity pose significant barriers to the academic success for several of our students. Many of our students struggle to meet the demands of their academic program while worrying about where to sleep at night. Thanks to the support of our Board of Trustees, the local community, and several faculty and staff we have been able to expand the resources available to our students who experience homelessness.  

Joe Hash and Kintay Johnson discussed our student homelessness/housing insecurity initiative with the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors yesterday.  The Supervisors appreciated the presentation and expressed an eagerness to help us address student homeless.
