I am pleased that the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACCJC) has finalized its review of College of the Redwoods’ Follow-Up Report and officially “Reaffirmed Accreditation for the Remainder of the Cycle, on the basis of a Follow-Up Report”.  This is significant news for CR.

I am grateful to ACCJC for its work on the external review and its acknowledgement of the significant progress CR has made in addressing our only compliance recommendation.  I would also like to extend my personal appreciation to the faculty and staff members who have worked so hard over the past several months on the completion of the Recommendation #7. Thank you to Julia Morrison for taking the lead on writing the Follow-Up report, George Potamianos and Angelina Hill for assisting in writing and the revising the report, and Peter Blakemore for editing the document. Thanks also to the Academic Senate, CSEA, Management Council, the Board of Trustees, and the Accreditation Oversight Committee for reviewing drafts of the report.
