Professional Development Trainings
Last week was full of terrific professional development opportunities for faculty and staff. The Professional Development Committee (PDC) led Communication Strategies for Classified Staff and Manager sessions that were well attended and extremely positive. The college also hosted a district-wide WebEx training on Interest Based Approach (IBA) training and sent administrative staff to a Brown Act training offered by School and College Legal Services of California.

The PDC is working very hard to offer professional development opportunities that faculty and staff are asking for and I encourage everyone to take advantage of these wonderful trainings in the future. They are working on a new website with a calendar of trainings so stay tuned.

As Nelson Mandela once said "Education is the great engine to personal development."
