Faculty and staff from across the District came together yesterday to celebrate the beginning of another fall semester. We spent time welcoming new faculty and staff,  renewing working relationships on hold for summer vacation, celebrating the accomplishments for last year and outlining a few of the actions we need to do this year. The enthusiasm and optimistic energy was evident throughout the day. Dr. Katie Hern delivered a key note address that validated the work our Math and English faculty have been doing to improve student progress through the basic skills and remedial courses.  She also called on faculty from every discipline to develop innovative curriculum that engages students in inspirational ways.
