Update Following The May 1, 2018 Board of Trustees Meeting
Here's a summary of the May 1 Board of Trustees meeting in case you were not able to attend it in person or view it via the web.
Congratulations to Shannon Walkley, MSW!
Congratulations to Shannon Walkley for completing her Masters of Social Work Degree.
I want to provide a summary of the key takeaways from today’s board meeting for those of you who were not able to attend in person or view the meeting via live streaming.
Our faculty inspire countless individuals, nurturing students in everything from the humanities and sciences to career and technical education. I can’t tell you how many times people in the community who’ve attended CR go out of their way to share a story about how a particular faculty member influenced their lives.
We held the final Board led strategic visioning session last night for community members. The group was small but we had some wonderfully bright thinkers from healthcare, K-12 education and the business community in the room!
We held a strategic visioning session on the Eureka campus on Friday, November 18th. The faculty, staff and management who participated in the event provided a lot of great ideas. Angelina Hill and our consultants from Gelinas James, Inc. will start synthesizing the ideas and developing themes for our Trustees to review and comment on shortly after our final visioning session.
We have our last visioning session scheduled for Wednesday, November 30th for the Eureka community members.
We held our strategic visioning session at the Del Norte campus for faculty, staff and community members today. The participants identified challenges that may impact the Del Norte community ten years from now. We also discussed how CR can work with the community to meet those major challenges.
Thank you to everyone who participated and to Trustee Mathews for setting the stage for the wonderful conversation!
