We received formal notification on April 1st of the Chancellor’s Office intent to award a California Community College Chancellor’s Office Basic Skills and Student Outcomes Transformation Program grant to College of the Redwoods.
Ron Waters received a letter of commendation from Eureka Police Chief Andrew Mills recently for his work on developing a new concentrated training plan to help local law enforcement departments maintain their Perishable Skills (PSP) and Continuing Professional Training (CPT) compliance. Thanks to Ron’s inventive training system, approximately 95% of the Eureka Police Department’s sworn personnel have already been able to complete their entire PSP/CPT requirement for the current two-year training cycle. According to Chief Mills, “Ron’s service has been greatly appreciated not only by myself, but also by the other members of the Law Enforcement Chief’s Association of Humboldt (LECAH).”
We should all thank Ron for his vision and dedication to College of the Redwoods and the community. Thanks Ron!
