College of the Redwoods presents the 2022 Juried Student Exhibition opening Tuesday, April 12 with the opening and awards ceremony online at 3:00 pm. This exhibition will feature outstanding examples of recent student work made in CR classes spanning multiple mediums including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and more. 

This year, the CR Art Gallery will offer two viewing options, in-person and virtual. Student work will be on display at the Art Gallery alongside an online rendition of the exhibit. Gallery visitors will be able to enjoy the wide variety of student work in-person as well as experience the exhibit online, attending the opening reception and award ceremony and viewing the artwork at www.redwoods.edu/artgallery 

The exhibition is juried by Brittany Britton, local artist, and gallery director. Britton is an enrolled member of the Hoopa Valley Tribe and holds a BA in Studio Art from Humboldt State University, and an MFA in Craft from the Oregon College of Art and Craft. Based out of Hoopa CA, she maintains a small studio practice that is influenced by material and culture. Alongside her studio pursuits, she works as a local curator as well as Gallery Director for the Reese Bullen and Goudi'ni Native American Arts Galleries at Cal Poly Humboldt. This exhibition will run from April 12 through April 28. The opening reception and awards ceremony is on April 12, at 3:00 pm Pacific Time and is free and open to the public. The Creative Arts Gallery at College of the Redwoods is located on the Eureka Main Campus, North Entrance, and is open by appointment. Admission is free and open to the public.
