During this intermediate class students will work on the kiln and make their own pieces to fire in it. Instruction will focus on kiln building and firing. Students are expected to have enough ceramics experience to independently produce their own work, there will be minimal instruction regarding clay fabrication techniques such as the pottery wheel. Students can bring their own clay and glaze.  Only high fire clay and glazes (cone 10) will be used.  

Materials Provided:  One 25-pound bag of clay (Wood Fire B-Mix), dust masks, earplugs, safety glasses.

Materials Required from Student:

Pottery tools, bucket, plastic bags, towel, work gloves, work clothes, work boots/shoes.
