I moved to Humboldt to attend HSU and fell in love with this area and I wanted to stay. I have 10+ years of field experience, so being a technician was the easiest way to do that.
Then, I saw that CR needed an instructor and I applied. I decided I wanted to teach because I believe it to be meaningful and rewarding work. I would not be here if it were not for my automotive teachers along the way.
As a relatively new teacher, I’m enjoying watching students apply things I’ve taught them in a practical way. And the Auto Tech program here is great. Graduates can expect to be competitive applicants in any shop virtually anywhere.
