College of the Redwoods Track & Field athletes have been burning up the track this year, gaining numerous high ranks on the state and national level. Here is a current list of CR state level and nationally ranked athletes for the 2022 season so far.

Hannah Hartwell ranks 1st in state for 800m (2:16.23), 1500m (4:33.11), and 5000m (17:17.35).

Hartwell also ranks 1st in nation among all community colleges in the 1500m and 5000m.

Nathan Witte ranks 1st in state for 400 hurdles (54.64).

Chance Hefter ranks 1st in the state in shotput (51' 3.75"), 7th in state in the discus (145' 11").

Josie Peterson ranks 1st in state for the Javelin (123' 10"), 3nd in the nation in Javelin among all community colleges.

Kyle Byrne ranks 4th in state for 800m (1:54.67).

“We are doing well this year because of a team approach,” said Coach Reed Elmore. “We are a small team but at every meet you can hear us cheering for each other.  It is impressive that a small school like ours can rank athletes at both the state and the national level.  The team approach creates an atmosphere where all of our athletes have the opportunity to improve at each meet.”
