College of the Redwoods seeking Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee representatives

The Redwoods Community College District Board of Trustees is seeking interested persons to serve on the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee as a representative of the College of the Redwoods Eureka and Del Norte service areas.

A $40 million general obligation bond was passed by the voters on November 2, 2004.

A Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee was established to monitor and audit the use of bond proceeds in accordance with Education Code Sections 15278 et al., the Board of Trustees Policy (#BP 6740), and Administrative Procedure (#AP6740). Information regarding these policies, the general obligation bond, the committee application, and the Citizens’ Oversight Committee can be accessed at the following link www.redwoods.edu/bondoversight.

No past or present employee or official of the Redwoods Community College District shall be appointed to the Committee. Additionally, no vendor, contractor, or consultant of the Redwoods Community College District shall be appointed to the Committee.
