College of the Redwoods 30th Science Night - Friday, Oct. 20
College of the Redwoods will host its historic 30th Science Night on Friday, Oct. 20th from 5 to 9 p.m. Participants have described this family event as Humboldt County’s “Disneyland of Science.”
This educational and fun evening of free activities will be held on the CR Eureka main campus. The campus is located at 7351 Tompkins Hill Road, seven miles south of Eureka. Parking is free, and there is no admission charge.
Science Night offers fun for all ages and includes demonstrations, hands-on activities, and experiments. CR faculty, non-profit groups, and volunteers will be hosting thirty activities for curious scientists of all ages with lots of “hands-on” fun for children.
Some of the favorite activities include the “Howling Gummi Bears,” the “Chemical Magic Show,” “Bubble Magic,” and the “Pumpkin Chucking Trebuchet (catapult).”
Bring your entire family and come early, eat at the newly launched CR Café. The Café’s Science Night menu will include kid friendly foods.
