College of the Redwoods’ Dash of Color Experience

College of the Redwoods is hosting their 5th annual color run on April 8, 2018.   The Dash of Color 5K Run/Walk will be held on the Eureka campus, with the start and finish in the Community Stadium.  The event begins at 10:00 a.m. on April 8th, with check-in starting at 9:00 a.m.  Participants are encouraged to wear costumes. All ages and all abilities are welcome.

Funds raised by the Dash of Color will benefit CR track & field, cross country, football and the CR Foundation.

This untimed family friendly event emphasizes fun over competition, with runners/walkers beginning the event dressed in clean white t-shirts and then passing through color stations throughout the course.  Each color station is staffed with volunteers who are spraying the runners with dyed cornstarch.  Runners complete the course covered in a safe and colorful powder.

Early registration will take place through March 25th, with the entry fee for adults $30 and $15 for children (13 and under).  The first 300 people who register will receive a commemorative Dash of Color race bag.

After March 25th prices will increase to $40 for adults and $20 for children.

There will also be a CR barbeque for only $5 a person including a hamburger or hotdog, chips, and a bottle of water.  The Dash will also be selling sunglasses, bandannas, feather head bands, and tutus. 

All online registration ends April 5th at 11:30 p.m.  You may also register the day of the event beginning at 9:00 a.m. at CR’s Community Stadium.
