College of the Redwoods offers summer personal enrichment classes

College of the Redwoods Community Education invites you to take time for yourself this summer and enjoy a personal enrichment class.  Learn how to play the popular sport of “Pickleball” during the month of May on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Firemen’s Pavilion in Fortuna with Jerry Saner.  Join Kathy Fraser in learning about foundational reflexes, how they develop or do not, and the effects on the brain and body with “Reflexes as Foundations for Brain-Body Health” on Saturday, May 19 at the CR Garberville Site.  Discover the joys of fermenting your own food at Humboldt Herbals on Tuesday evenings in June with Candice Brunlinger.  Students will learn about the fermentation process and make kombucha, sauerkraut, pickles, fermenting bugs for herbal sodas, and yogurt.  In July, also at Humboldt Herbals, Candice will offer “Herbal Remedies” on Tuesday evenings.

Personal enrichment classes are a great way to explore community offerings and hobbies within Humboldt County. For information about taking a class or teaching a class, please contact Community Education at 476-4500.

Call 707-475-4500 or visit www.redwoods.edu/communityed for more information.
