PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
TAYLOR MURRAY
- WOMEN’S BASKETBALL –
Women’s basketball played their final 2 games of the season and did not disappoint. On Sophomore Day Redwoods pulled out an impressive 67-57 win over Lassen. The final game on the road was a tough game, losing a close game to Butte. All the sophomores performed well but Taylor Murray was the spark in both games. Murray averaged 15 points, including 5 3’s on Sophomore Day and an additional 4 3’s on the road at Butte. Murray was top 50 in the state this season in 3pt made.
GRANT VAN EMMRICK
- TRACK & FIELD –
Track & Field had their first taste of competition this week at the Butte Invitational. Redwoods collectively made a strong impression, but Grant Van Emmrick was the standout this weekend. Van Emmrick placed 1st, and PR, in both the 200M and 400M relay. With that performance Van Emmrick is currently 1stin conference in both 200M and 400M, and is top 10 in the NorCal and State rankings.
