College of the Redwoods Basketball Season Opens

College of the Redwoods Basketball season will begin next week, with the Men’s first home game on Nov. 2 versus Mendocino College. The Women’s team will be playing on the road until December 14, when they host Mendocino College.

There will be a mask requirement for all spectators throughout the contests, with the exception of when consuming food or drink in their seat. Temperature checks and screening questions to be answered will be required for entry. Extra masks and sanitization stations will be available at the entrance. A maximum of 500 spectators, approximately 53% capacity, will be allowed in the gymnasium for the games.

Ticket prices for the games are $8 general admission and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets are free for children 12 and under and CR students with student ID. Out of town visitors can call 707-476-4213 to reserve tickets ahead of time. All others will be available at the door. Due to reduced capacity, there is a limited number of tickets, so please arrive early if you plan on attending.

Live Streaming through YouTube will be provided for all home contests and will be announced with links on CR Athletics social media sites. See the attached schedules for game dates and times.

Addendum: Effective December 1, all fans 12 years or older wishing to attend an indoor sporting event at College of the Redwoods must show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative test upon entry,  regardless if they’ve already had COVID. Per state mandate, masks are also required regardless of vaccination status. This will also allow us to increase capacity from 50%.
