Published on 5/20/2015.

College of the Redwoods Fine Woodworking is offering five summer workshops this year at the 440 Alger Street location in Fort Bragg.

Workshops include:
Beginning and Intermediate Carving with Paul Reiber, June 1-5
Tools and Techniques with Jim Budlong, June 8-26
Plane Making with Jim Budlong, June 8-12
Techniques with Jim Budlong, June 15-26
Projects with Greg Smith, July 6-31

These workshops are all full eight hour days.

The combination of the Tools and Techniques and Projects workshops this summer affords the opportunity to experience a condensed version of the nine-month Fine Woodworking class. Each of those workshops will be conducted by CR Fine Woodworking staff.

Paul Reiber, who is teaching the Beginning and Intermediate Carving workshop, graduated in the first Fine Woodworking class in 1982. He has since made a livelihood on the Mendocino coast in carving.
