Our Agricultural and Career Education Division Participated in the FFA State Convention

Published on 5/3/2019.

Our Agriculture program and Career Education Division had the privilege to host a booth at the California State FFA Convention in Anaheim last weekend. Our three colleagues were able to connect with over 2,000 potential students and over 100 Ag teachers from all around the State.

There was a lot of interest in Agriculture, Welding,Forestry and many other programs. According to Megan, some of the highlights of the trip included sharing about Humboldt County, connecting with local students in a new space and speaking on behalf of the great technical programs offered through Career Education.

Thank you to Kerry Mayer for her leadership and to Silas Sarvinski, Morgan Solem, and Megan Laneyn for showing the CR flag. Special thanks go to Sandy Dale, a Fortuna High School faculty member, who helped support the costs of our attendance at this event.
