The Board's Ad Hoc Committee for Board Policy 2210 Officers met prior to the workshop and the Ad Hoc Committee for Board Advocacy met after the workshop. The chairs of both ad hoc committees will report out at the February 4, 2020 regular meeting.
The Trustees had a very robust and enlightening discussion of the Brown Act with Mr. Steven P. Reiner, Associate General Counsel for School & College Legal Services of California. They also continued their discussion of their role in advocacy for the District.
We only had one action item on this agenda. I am happy to announce that the Board approved a new long-term Vision Statement and Strategic Directions for the District. I attached the approved document to this summary article.
Cynthia will upload the new Vision Statement to the Board's webpage soon.
