Congratulations!

We received formal notification on April 1st of the Chancellor’s Office intent to award a California Community College Chancellor’s Office Basic Skills and Student Outcomes Transformation Program grant to College of the Redwoods. The purpose of the three year grant totaling around $639,000 is to support the expansion and sustainability of a modified supplemental instruction program, multiple measures and scale up the number of accelerated math and English pathway courses from (2) math and (2) English to (12) math and (13) English.  The grant will also help us reach a greater proportion of students—increasing from 104 to 848 per year.

This grant represents an important step in our ongoing commitment to help students succeed and realize their dreams. We couldn’t have accomplished this grant achievement if it wasn’t for the leadership of Dean, Erin Wall and the instrumental participation of Mike Haley, Tina Vaughan, Kelly Carbone, Angelina Hill, Sheila Hall, Ruth Rhodes, Nicole Bryant Lescher, Todd Olsen, Mike Butler, Marla Gleave, David Holper, Amy Berkowitz, Prudence Ratliff and Julia Morrison.
