The Trustees met in a special meeting today to conduct a second reading of Board Policy 2210 Officers. After another robust discussion, the Trustees approved adding the following bolded language to the opening paragraph of the board policy:

At the annual organizational meeting, the Board shall elect from among all its members a President, Vice President, and Clerk.  It is required that officers of the Board shall have completed the "Excellence in Trusteeship Program" with the exception of the Clerk of the Board who shall have up to one year to complete the program.

This revised board policy is in immediate effect.
