Congratulations on the wonderful recognition of Nicole Bryant Lesher, Mike Magdaleno and Alex Wright for their outreach work. To see their work highlighted by McKinleyville High School is an incredible testament of their commitment to student success and ability to help us serve our community.

Providing effective outreach is essential to our growth and continued excellence. As we move forward with plans to ensure CR’s future, we will continue invest in actions that help communicate the unique value of what we offer so that students continue to choose us from among the array of educational options practically unimaginable just a decade earlier (Education Master Plan 2022-2032).

We are grateful to have Nicole, Mike and Alex engaged in our outreach efforts.

Hi Ms. Petrusha ~

I wasn't sure how to find the dean who supervises student services and outreach on the website.  I am hoping you might be able to send / forward this commendation to the proper folks on campus?

Today, we enjoyed a wonderful day of workshops hosted by Nicole Bryant Lesher and Mike (newly hired director of outreach) and Alex (both of whom whose last names I did not write down - darn!).  High school seniors at 8:30am can be a tough crowd to engage, but these folks came with positivity, pride, and energy.  The lesson plan for interest/career exploration as a warm up was well-conceived and hooked the students into the rest of the workshop!

I truly appreciated the way they worked the crowd, approached students with kindness, and were able to help these seniors no matter how they entered the space.  We had students from the entire range of abilities, and they all left the session excited about their futures.  The word about the first event got out quickly enough that we added several more students to the afternoon workshop!

We at MHS are grateful for the personalized approach in our site visit.  We are already looking forward to our advising day in May and what we hope will be at least one more field trip to CR before graduation!
