College of the Redwoods will present visiting writer J. Lynn Bailey on campus Jan. 29 at 7:00 p.m. in room HU 110. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Bailey will read from her new book “Black Five” and follow with a question and answer session. The reading is free and open to the public.
Bailey’s book “Black Five” is a young adult paranormal romance novel set in the fictional town of Mason, inspired by Ferndale, California. The book was released in October 2015, and is the first in a series of four books. The remaining three books are scheduled to be released each following year.
Bailey has been working as a staff member at CR since the age of 18, and is currently a transcript evaluator there. She also is a graduate of CR and Humboldt State University. She is the first visiting writer this year in the CR’s Visiting Writers series.
