A Day at the Farm!

I thoroughly enjoyed A Day at the Farm Saturday, and I wasn’t alone. Turnout was strong, with faculty, staff, and community members all participating in the festivities.  We even had Shively neighborhood children inspired by the event set up a successful pop-up lemonade stand. Farm Manager Silas Sarvinski led tours of the farm with its bright flowers and luscious crops. I want to thank the many volunteers and give a special thanks to Silas, Morgan Solem, Megan Laney, and Kerry Mayer their hard work to make the day a great success.

AB 705 Workshop

Levi Gill and Nicole BryantLescher brought CR to the forefront this week. CR was one of two colleges that took part in a state-wide webinar hosted by the Chancellor’s Office in partnership with the RP Group and Educational Results Partnership. In the webinar AB 705 in Action! Experiences of Early Implementers, Levi and Nicole educated other colleges about CR’s early changes to curriculum, support structures, and professional development prior to full AB 705 implementation. It’s great to see CR recognized as a leader in the state.
